Teaching and Learning Resources You may wonder why anyone would start a small publishing house of educational resources -- especially when huge companies out there have thousands of learning materials and seemingly endless cadres of writers, editors, illustrators and artists backed by corporative structures, multiple distributors and supportive budgets. The answer lies in the dual image of school book rooms jammed with expensive, unused texts right next door to teachers who are frustrated with the lack of realistic resources with do-able activities. We felt there was a place for down-to-earth, practical instructional resources and supplementary learning materials written by -- and for the people who use them. Our materials are created by educators for educators. They are effective in reaching learning outcomes, realistic in nature and reasonable in price. Each resource must meet three criteria: The strategies and activities must be practical in our challenging classrooms The material must be adaptable and accessible to a wide array of student skills and abilities, and It must be clearly formatted and simple to follow -- we don't need make-work projects.
